MAFFS 7 CHINOOK IPA

A US Air Force report concluded that strong winds out of a thunderstorm caused the crash of a military C-130 air tanker July 1 2013. The accident occurred on the White Draw Fire near Edgemont, South Dakota and resulted in four fatalities. Two crewmen in the rear of the aircraft were injured but survived. The crew of Beatle 12 was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom, several squadrons working together in an MH-53M helicopter when it fell about seven miles east of Bagram Air Base. The crew of Demon 51, the call sign of the C-130 on a training mission to Greenville, Miss., perished on 8 June 1988 when the aircraft crashed near the Greenville airport after practicing touch-and-go landings.
